Tomosynthesis Increases Breast Cancer Detection Rate: Study

According to a recent study, both 2D and 3D breast imaging boost cancer detection rates by 11%, and screening could be useful in detecting cancer in women with dense breasts. Researchers at Yale University Smilow Cancer Hospital in New Haven, CT, reviewed the screening mammograms of 14,684 patients.
