John Theurer Cancer Center Leads from the Front in Proteasome Inhibitor Carfilzomib Studies



Three separate multi-center studies were conducted by researchers at John Theurer Cancer Center at HackensackUMC, analyzing proteasome inhibitor carfilzomib which have been published in the journal Blood. Carfilzomib is a novel, highly selective proteasome inhibitor, a type of medication that blocks the actions of certain proteins (proteasomes) that cancer cells need to survive and multiply.
