Two in Five Indian Kids Have Unhealthy BMI

Researchers have warned that students across the country are severely lagging in health and fitness departments and two in five children do not have a healthy BMI. The countrywide study involved more than 115,000 children between 7 and 17 years of age and from 287 schools across 85 cities from 23 states. Boys had worsen BMI ratings compared to girls, with just 59 percent of boys having what is considered to be a healthy BMI compared to 65 percent of girls. ...
