Shire to pay $56.5 million to settle improper marketing probe

(Reuters) - Shire Plc, which is in the process of being acquired by AbbVie Inc, has agreed to pay $56.5 million to resolve allegations of making false claims in the marketing of its ADHD drug Adderall XR, the U.S. Justice Department said on Wednesday.
