Some Contraceptive Raises Diabetes Risk For Obese Women

Obese, reproductive-age women who use long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) that contains the hormone progestin have a slightly higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes when compared to those who use non-hormonal contraception, according to researchers.
