Pesticides in Food Raises Type 2 Diabetes Risk

A Spanish study has linked pesticide in food, water and air to type 2 diabetes risk. The study, conducted at the University of Granada, has revealed a direct relationship between exposure to Persistent Organic Pollutants (COP) in food, air and water and prevalence of Type 2 diabetes in adults, regardless of age, gender and body mass index.
