Risk of Death High for Patients Admitted on Bank Holidays

A recent report has brought out the grim statistics of bad outcomes for patients admitted to emergency during weekends. The report found that the risk of death increased by 50%, if patients needing emergency care were admitted during bank holidays. The research undertaken during January 2008 to December 2010 reveals the high risks to patients admitted in hospitals during weekends.
