US Kids Consuming Twice the Recommended Daily Salt Intake

A new study published in the journal Pediatrics revealed that children in the United States were consuming more than double the recommended limit of salt intake in their diet. The American Heart Association has recommended that the daily salt intake in children should be limited to 1500 mg but the new study has found that children are consuming more than 3,300 mg of salt every day, an amount similar to those of adults.
