Lithium Not an Effective Mode of Treatment in All Bipolar Disorder Patients

Using lithium for treating bipolar disorder may not be effective in all patients and doctors can find whether the treatment is working or not by checking the level of gene activation or repression that alters the level of programmed cell death or apoptosis, a new study published in the journal Biology of Mood (and) Anxiety Disorders reveals.
