Leaky Gut in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Susceptibility may be Compensated for by Immune System

The way in which inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) are triggered and develop has been deciphered in new research. Scientists at Emory University School of Medicine have shown how the immune system can compensate for a "leaky gut" and prevent disease in mice that are susceptible to intestinal inflammation.
