It may not be the same as hitting up Alp d’huez or Val d’isere but it's close enough! If you're a big fan of skiing or snowboarding and just can’t wait to hit the slopes, then calm your snow withdrawal by getting a ticket to this year’s Telegraph Ski & Snowboard Show in London's Battersea Park from 5th-8th November and Manchester's EventCity from 30th October-1st November.
For any snowsports enthusiant, there's loads to get excited about. Within the wintery alpine setting you can enjoy a whole range of activities by following the show’s daily timetable. Check out the line up prior to the show and pre-plan your day if you're super keen like us.
The best part? We've got our eyes on the alpine fine dining and street food curated by Michelin star chef Angela Hartnett, who's created some traditional delicacies for you to try. Do crepes, strudel, Bratwurst, Austrian Tiroler and Grostl sound good? Just pre-book your table online for a 3 course meal at £75 per person at The Lodge. Or you can purchase a ticket for the Norway Resort bar at £45 per person which gets you extra treats like a goodie bag, priority entry, a complimentary glass of champagne and a 6-issue subscription to the Telegraph Ski & Snowboard Magazine.
You can also watch some amazing ski and snowboard competitions on Mount Battersea which is a 50ft slope of real snow. Witness the pro riders battle it out at the London Ride Freestyle Competition or The Brits, normally held every year in the Alps, showcasing the best skiers and snowboarders in the country.
If you're feeling inspired to book your next ski holiday, there'll be industry experts you can talk to armed with the best advice to suit your needs. Then why not head over to the snow sports fashion show where you can preview all the latest gear before heading over to the pop-up shops and treating yourself?
If you thought it couldn't get any better from there, once you’ve had some great food, marvelled at the pros and picked yourself up a new ski jacket or two, you can chill and wind down by grabbing a drink and watching some live comedy or live music. The comedians are a mix of rising stars and professionals who've walked the stage on Live at the Apollo such as Marcus Brigstocke and Andrew Maxwell, while the music won’t let you down either as the organisers have lined up some killer headliners; on the 5th November you could be watching Hot Chip or on the 6th November you could get the chance to see Norman Jay MBE.
