Skin Cancer Rates Shoot Up in Canada

An anti-cancer organisation has revealed that even though the rates of other cancers are falling, melanoma cases are rising in Canada, with tanning beds and lack of sunscreen being blamed. The Canadian Cancer Society said an estimated 6,500 new cases of malignant melanoma and another 76,100 cases of non-melanoma skin cancers are expected to be diagnosed in this country in 2014.
