Living in Inner City Does Not Raise Asthma Risk; Being poor, African-American or Puerto Rican does

The long-standing belief that living in the inner city raises the risk of asthma has been debunked by researchers at the John Hopkins University. The US study which included more than 23,000 children, aged 6 to 17 years, has found that being poor, African-American or Puerto Rican were more significant risk factors for asthma than urban living.
