Century-Old Drug may Help Reverse Autism Symptoms

A century-old drug corrects genetic autism symptoms in laboratory mice, which might suggest a pathway for treatment in humans, reveals a new study. Researchers at UC San Diego School of Medicine previously reported that a drug used for almost a century to treat trypanosomiasis, or sleeping sickness, reversed environmental autism-like symptoms in mice.
