Abnormal Cell Growth in Tumors can be Halted by Clipping Proteins That Package Genes

A new study has suggested that changes to the structure of the protein histone H3.3 may play a key role in silencing genes that regulate cancer cell growth. The study was led by researchers from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and published online this month in the journal emNature Communications/em.
