Avalanches and snowstorms have killed 39 trekkers on the popular Himalayan route of Annapurna in Nepal, say officials. According to the BBC, around 384 people were rescued from the Annapurna trail in the country's worst ever trekking disaster. There were 216 foreigners among all the trekkers who were rescued from the trekking route.
