Patients with diseased leg arteries who quit smoking live longer

By Ronnie Cohen NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - People with clogged arteries in their legs can extend their lives - and save their limbs - if they quit smoking cigarettes, new research shows. In so-called “peripheral artery disease,” blood from the heart can’t reach the legs because the arteries are clogged.
