Bacteria Could be Tapped for Development of New Therapies for Humans

Researchers at UC San Francisco suggest that bacteria and other microorganisms that live in and on us could be a rich source of new therapies as they have genetic blueprints that enable them to make thousands of molecules that act like drugs, a new report published in the journal Cell reveals.
