Risk of Complications Higher Among Children Who Undergo Emergency Surgeries on Weekends

A new study conducted by researchers at Johns Hopkins Children's Center has found that the risk of complications, or even death, is high among children who undergo emergency surgeries, such as hernia repairs or appendix removals, compared to children getting the same kind of treatment during the week.
