Knee ligament injuries may be more common in men: study



Knicks' Davis grabs his right knee after an injury in Game 4 of their NBA Eastern Conference basketball playoff series against the Heat in New York (Reuters) - Men have a greater number of knee ligament injuries than women, despite research suggesting that women's knees are more prone to anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears and surgeries to fix them, according to a Swedish study. The report, published in the American Journal of Sports medicine, counted the injuries across the entire Swedish population, not just among players of particular sports or in certain regions. ...
